Nursery Practitioner, Northwood

VD Recruitment has partnered with a well established nursery in West London. We are currently recruiting for passionate and experienced Nursery Practitioner / Assistant to join their wonderful team registered for 40 children. You will assist in providing a safe, secure and stimulating environment for children and collaboratively work with colleagues, parents, carers and other multi professionals. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of Level 2/3 qualification in Childcare. Must have strong knowledge of the EYFS, good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. Hours: Full time , 40/week , shift between 7.30 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday. Salary - £18,500/pa to £19,500/pa based on Qualification &Experience Location ? Northwood, HA6 Duties of the Nursery Practitioner will include: - * Provide high quality care and activities for the children and to recognise both individual and group requirements in a secure, safe and stimulating environment. * Observe each child?s progress and report on achievements, looking for progression and continuity alongside the Early Years Foundation Stage. * Giving children and families the opportunity to reach their full potential * Looking after a key group of children. * Implement high health and safety standards * Ability to work effectively as part of a team and establish positive relationships with children. * Ensure a high standard of care,covering all areas of the EYFS * Help organise and take part in outings * Help settle children taking into account their particular needs * Attend staff meetings outside of nursery hours * Attend training courses * Help keep register up to date of accidents/Incidents, medication forms, planning, tracking observations and risk assessments etc. * Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the children their families and staff with regards to information learnt as part of the job. * Ensure you comply with safeguarding children and health and safety at all times. * Take an active role in fire evacuation procedures Minimum requirements of the Nursery Practitioner:- * A minimum of NVQ Level 2/3 or above in Childcare. * Minimum a year experience in a Nursery setting in Uk. * A good knowledge of the EYFS and nursery policies and procedures.
