Global Data Transformation Director - Contract, London

We are seeking an Interim Global Data Transformation Director to lead a critical enterprise-wide data transformation programme within a complex, international B2B environment.

This is a hands‑on delivery role focused on stabilising data foundations while unlocking commercial insight, forecasting capability, and AI‑driven value.

You will work closely with the Executive team to turn fragmented data into trusted, actionable intelligence.

Core Mandates

• Define a clear data vision and target architecture
• Align data strategy to key business priorities (revenue, margin, performance)
• Establish data governance, policies, and ownership
• Set the foundation for AI‑enabled analytics and decision‑making

Mobilising & Integration (“Fixing the Fundamentals”)

Build a single source of truth across:

• Revenue
• Operational performance

Integrate core systems (ERP, CRM, operational platforms)

Improve:

• KPI definitions and reporting standards
• Stand up core BI and reporting capability

Driving Execution & Value (Delivery)

Deliver immediate commercial outcomes:

• Improved revenue forecasting accuracy
• Enhanced margin and performance visibility
• Clear customer / contract profitability insight

Deploy practical, high‑impact analytics use cases, including:

• Forecasting
• Demand and capacity planning

Enable Executive‑level reporting and decision‑making

Drive adoption and embed data‑led ways of working

Candidate Profile

• Proven track record delivering data transformation in complex organisations
• Strong experience integrating ERP, CRM, and operational data
• Able to operate at both:
• Strategic level (vision, architecture)
• Hands‑on level (delivery, problem solving)
• Commercial mindset with focus on measurable business outcomes
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders across finance, operations, and technology
